Dun Sailing, a charming property conceived in the 1940s and expanded over the decades in Avila Beach, is set for an exciting transformation. Hosting a mix of 24 motel rooms and apartments, this historic site, initially designed for the sailing community, has weathered the years, encountering the inevitable effects of time, and ocean exposure. As we propose a project for Dun Sailing, our focus is on restoration and enhancement. Various aspects, from plumbing to landscaping, require attention. While the building's core elements like framing, roofing, and foundations stand strong, the passage of almost 40 years since significant upgrades calls for a comprehensive revitalization. We aim not only to bring Dun Sailing back to a more serviceable condition but also to introduce thoughtful upgrades, ensuring this coastal gem thrives for years to come. This submission seeks consideration for the restoration and enhancement project, blending the property's rich history with a renewed vision for its future.
