This project provides 36 residential housing units within the community of San Miguel, within an empty and under-utilized site zoned "rec". The recreation zone allows for the development of single family or multi-family housing. The 36 units are all 2 bed / 2 bath units and share parking and public amenities. The San Miguel community planning area standards include guidelines for the architecture specifically stating that the building should not obstruct views of the mission from Highway 101. The proposed design does not obstruct views of the mission by utilizing a single-story configuration with units shifted away from the street frontage. In addition, the architecture conforms to the San Miguel community planning area standards by incorporating an architectural style that enhances and complements the historic mission.
